We're here at the campground as I write this. The grounds and location are great. There are LOTS of amenities, you're next to the beach, all of the tourist attractions are close by and the people here are great. But the spots themselves are awful. They are very narrow, short and the hookups are very old. We are on dirt/sand with weeds. Most spots come with a fire ring, but it's literally two feet from the door of our coach and to start a fire would put us in danger of burning our coach. If... Read More

My family and I have stayed at Campland on three occasions now. The first two occasions were during off peak travel times (October and January) and were enjoyable experiences. This last time was was during July 2020 and the place was a complete zoo. I get that this is a family destination, but screaming kids running around naked, large groups of 20 somethings doing their best to out drink each other, and the general congestion of the park were hard to deal with. Those of you that have never stayed here before will find that individual campsites are tight. If you have a large Class A or 5th Wheel, you will find it very difficult to get into and out of these sites during the peak season. Off season times are not bad, as the number of RV's, tow vehicles, bicycles, and people in general is greatly reduced. The sites are so close together that when you slide outs are extended, you may have as little as six inches between you and your neighbor. Plus, with this may people during peak season, it was difficult for the park staff to keep up with cleaning the restrooms. We will stay here again as the park has lots of amenities, but it will be off peak season for sure.

Had a 4-night stay at Campland. If you like kids, tight spaces, and rowdy groups, this is the place for you. I have a 41 ft 5th wheel and needed to ask my neighbors to move their vehicles so I could back into the space. The facilities are good but there were WAY too many people at the camp. I cannot imaging the chaos if there were an emergency evacuation. The place did get quiet after 10 pm. I would not return to this camp but a lot of people seem to like this way of RVing.
This location does have everything and location to SD is awesome. I was little disappointed in the number of annual sites occupied with less than tidy tenants. It distracts from the overall appearance. It's a little bit outdated as well. The pools were clean. Shower house clean, but having to push buttons to keep water running made me feel like I was still in the military. Dog park was nice to have. It needed some grounds keeping for sure. Dogs were always muddy after leaving. I also requested... Read More

Dog park was nice to have. It needed some grounds keeping for sure. Dogs were always muddy after leaving. I also requested from several employees more poo bags. 2 days later they finally stocked them.
The site was fairly level. And right on top of my neighbors.
For the price. I felt there was not enough value.
If needing to be in SD, I would stay here again. Otherwise I might look for different location next time.

Reserved a pull thru, one month in advance. Upon arrival was told there are no pull thru available. Was placed in a TIGHT back in site. Had to have three different vehicles moved in order to back in. Most spots don't have room to park on the site, so vehicles are extending into the streets all over the campground. Explored the entire campground and be prepared for "tight". If you have kids - this is the place for you. Pool, game room, cantina were all good. KIds will love it. Very little... Read More

Very little lighting during dark hours so be very careful driving on campground at night - the kids are everywhere!
Would only return if we had our grandkids with us.

Loud and crazy during the 4th of July, but a lot of fun! Can't beat the view from the bayside spaces.
This a great place with something for everybody. The location is beautiful with great views. They have some of the best dog park areas we have found..There is a beach with all kinds of rental equipment for playing on the water as well as a store and restaurant. The staff do a great job of keeping everything neat and clean
The people and location make this place special. We have stayed here before. But do not remember the food being as delicious as it was. Had the Carne Asada bowl. My kids just loved swimming in the heated pool in DECEMBER. Cool;)
We will not be returning to this "trailer park". The spot we were in was so small that at one end our vehicle was in our face and the other end our slides were in our face. No grass, really. At these prices I would have expected better. There was dog poo everywhere despite having poo bags everywhere. It was just a dirty place. Too many permanents. They have an RV code for no rv's with torn or damaged outsides. Well the RV that was next to us had awnings shredded and black stuff all running down the... Read More

We were there for 4 nights,on our final day I noticed the Good Sam logo in the market window, didn't know they offered GS. So i went into the office to inquire. There were NO GS logos ANYWHERE in the office so I asked if they offer a GS discount. They said yes but the could only give it to me for the last night we were there. Now why I couldn't get it for my whole visit I don't know. But we will not be returning here again.

The facility was very nice. We were staying there while attending my son's graduation from Marine Boot Camp. The personnel was very nice. The little food cart onsite had great food. The only thing that I would call out for visitors is that as you are pulling into the campground there is a part of the road that dips severely. We lost some dishes because of how severe it was. Not something to keep people from visiting, just something to prepare for.
