This is a lovely little family-owned and family-operated campground. Real pride in ownership. They are on site, friendly, responsive and keep the place looking great.
Great place! The sites are level and roomy, very nice. Right by the San Juan river, beautiful scenery. Well maintained and the staff can't be beat. Warm, friendly and helpful. Was a distinct pleasure to stay here, my wife and I are planning on our return.
My 1st time at this park. The people were wonderful and helpful; the park is clean and the bathrooms are great. Loved it.
We were part of group camping trip (July 2016). Nice setting along the San Juan River in the great San Juan Mountain Range. The property is an old KOA campground and clearly shows the age of the property. The playground requires significant work and repair (i.e. sanding and staining of the older wooden equipment). The above ground pool requires significant repair or replacement. The roads need repair and grading. The customer service is poor. No one ever asked how our stay was, what they could... Read More

The customer service is poor. No one ever asked how our stay was, what they could do to make our stay better; in fact, not one staff member thanked us for staying with them. Signs in the bathroom/showers ask the guests to keep the restrooms/showers clean....they don't ask us to report to the staff if the restrooms/showers require attention. This was indicative of our entire stay. As for making the reservations....it took four calls to get our reservation. The first call, the guy who answered the phone told me I need to "...quiet the screaming kid in the background" because he could hear (we have a twenty month old). I called back three minutes later and no one answers. I had to call back three more times before I got a live person to take my reservation.
The setting is beautiful but I cannot recommend this campground based entirely on the poor customer interaction and service provided by the staff. Perhaps I may be hyper-sensitive to great customer service but, I don't expect what I myself am not willing to deliver.

The park was very clean and the river was beautiful. We had a river site and the site was gravel but very level. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store had anything that you could need. Will return in the future.
The staff was really nice and helpful, the spot we reserved was the spot we received. The campground location was a nice location, next to the river and close to hiking, fishing and the town. We were not lucky enough to get a river spot but was one row off. We had only a couple of small trees next to our spot. There were a lot of trees the further away from the river you went. They had a game room on site with 80s arcade games, a pool table and an air hockey table which was fun for the family.... Read More

The only pool I saw was an above ground pool that looked pretty rough, this could have been because of the time of year we were there. You could rent a paddle boat for the little pond/lake in the park.
The lady I spoke to stated they had purchased the campground a year ago and were working to make the grounds better. I liked that the table at the trailer sites were the plastic picnic tables and not the wood that is all splintered up. I will return to thi spark.

Beautiful park on the river but a bit rough. The only pool I saw was an empty doughboy. Roads are river rock with gravel. Staff was friendly and helpful. No discount given for riverfront sites which should be disclosed prior to picking your site. On site store was well supplied.
Requested a pull thru site, was told that the only pull thrus available has elec and water only. Upon arrival i was told there were no notes and i had a back in site. When i discussed the fact that i called in my reaervation and was told i could have that she said rudely guess you will learn to back in on this stay. We left for the day and i did not want them to think we checked out so they gave us a sign for our site. When my daughter took the sign back they accused her of taking it from another... Read More

We left for the day and i did not want them to think we checked out so they gave us a sign for our site. When my daughter took the sign back they accused her of taking it from another site and gave her a lecture. The lake is small and you must pay to use the paddle boats. The site spaces are not level at all, very rocky little grass. River close by is nice, but over all place is rude and not customer friendly, would not stay there again!
