Very disappointed in this RV "Resort". How Good Sam could give as high a rating as they did is beyond me. First off, the good stuff. This park is very well maintained and the sites are large. The visual appeal is very nice with Picacho Peak towering in the background. The staff seemed friendly enough. Now, the not so good. The I-10 noise is very loud. Adjacent to the I-10, are 2 railroad tracks. This is a 2 track main freight line with numerous trains night and day. There is no escaping... Read More

Adjacent to the I-10, are 2 railroad tracks. This is a 2 track main freight line with numerous trains night and day. There is no escaping the sound. Reservations: When I made our reservation I told the reservationist that we had a 38' motorhome and were towing a 20' trailer with our car and motorcycle and so would need a large enough site to accommodate. They had one available and I booked it for the Month. The site assigned was a very nice Deluxe site which was indeed big enough to accommodate and was, like all the rest, a gravel site.. Once we were settled in our site I discovered there is NO cable TV. Electricity was extra. Not only that, but the only WIFI that is available at your site costs an additional $35 plus tax for the month. Also, although there is a nice patio at the site, NO Tables. Some sites had a table and most do not. When I asked I was told they don't have enough to go around and if I wanted one I could go to an empty site and move it to mine. I would have thought that maintenance would have done that for us. But no. Then, after we had been in our site for a week, we got a call from the office informing us that we had to move our trailer, which was still attached to our motorhome, into storage and pay an additional $25 for storage fee. We were never told about the trailer when we checked in. The trailer is why we had to pay for a Deluxe site in the first place. So, we had to pack up and move the trailer up to storage. Then come back and set up our campsite again. My recommendation would be to skip this park if you can and try somewhere a little more up to date. I think I can speak with some knowledge on this subject since my wife and I managed RV Resorts for years and just retired from the industry a year and a half ago. Don't pay the price and get nothing in return. The pictures all look great. But between the noise and no services, it isn't worth it.

Greeted very warmly when I arrived and I was assisted to my site for the night. Very clean and easily accessible with my 42 ft 5th wheel. Pet friendly also. I would definitely stay here again.

This park deserves the high ratings awarded by Good Sams. We stayed two nights in the Big Rig pull thru sites. Wide Spaces and the park is easy to get around. Each site has a concrete slab ,picnic table and privacy fence. Great scenery with the mountains nearby and hiking trails if you choose to get outdoors. We liked the fact that the park was gated. Nice knowledgeable staff. Two negatives- the park is pretty far from shopping (you either go 45 miles east to Tucson or 25 miles west to Casa... Read More
