Can't complain about the staff, BUT when we booked we told the staff that we had a 39' 5th wheel and 20' truck. The site had two large trees, a trash can, a light pole at the entrance with the power pole 50' into the site. There is a small gravel road going up to the sites. We knew we could not get a scenic site so we were assigned #14. Across from the site is a WOODED CLIFF so we had about 20'. Several couples that were there said they had seen several 5th wheels try to get into this site and it... Read More

Several couples that were there said they had seen several 5th wheels try to get into this site and it was very, very difficult. No turning radius to back in. We got so close to one of the entrance trees that we ended up calling a tow to help us get off the tree. Good thing the tow driver had his own 5th wheel. Unless you have a POD and a CDL I do not recommend this campground. Even a lot of the Class A's have a problem. It's pitiful that the owner did not consider the cliff on the other side during construction. With more room it would have been a breeze. We will not be going again. Worse trip I have had in 7 years. The Mama bear with cubs was amusing at 3AM as well as the wild turkeys the bears tried to eat.....Show less

Just got back today. The view us the Best we have ever been to. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. All the bathrooms are private. They may be a little dated, but it's nice to take a private shower. Everything works great. The last 1/4mile drive is a dirt road pretty steep and twisty, but 30 have a 30 ft and haf plenty of room. Overall, very nice. We have already booked another trip. The view is worth the charge.
We have stayed here before and would like to say that the view is the best we have seen in a privately owned campground. The management has always been friendly to us. The facilities are not as well maintained as they used to be and whoever gave Campfire Lodgings a 10 for their bathrooms needs to be fired. The bathrooms are falling apart and dirty. The gravel road up to the campground may be difficult for those with large RV's.
We were expecting much more than we got. The only plus is the view. We found the general condition of the campground not to meet what we paid. The restrooms were circa 1960's in disrepair, just expected more.
