Nice quiet campground in the heart of bourbon country. Sites are spacious and well shaded. They face each other which was perfect since we were camping with friends. The restrooms/showers were old but clean. The staff were very friendly and very helpful giving information about local attractions. We will definitely stay here again.

The Takeaway: a pastoral and rustic rv park within striking distance of the Bourbon Trail, Bourbon Festival and many iconic distilleries. There is little in the way of anything but rustic campgrounds in this area. Unpleasant and cramped bath/showers in an old barn. Well maintained grounds with trees trimmed up and back from the road sites are not level, and the red clay is miserable when wet. Good FHU and stable 50 amp service. A quite respite from the energetic environs of the Bourbon Festival.... Read More

We made reservations at White Acres Campground at least two months in advance. We called the week prior to our arrival to check on our reservations - no problem. We asked if it was possible to check-in early or at least just park at the campground until things would be ready for us. We were meeting family in town. They told no problem, they had plenty of room. We arrived Friday, October 12 and guess what - they didn't even have our reservation listed at all. They write down their reservations... Read More

They told no problem, they had plenty of room. We arrived Friday, October 12 and guess what - they didn't even have our reservation listed at all. They write down their reservations on paper only. The manager or whoever he was very rude. We did get to check in though after my husband had a long decision with manager. They put us in one of the new lots where the lot was very small/narrow and when you stepped out of your RV there was incline with no grass but mud. I noticed that the old lots were very small and narrow too. Who were the office ladies that took our reservations? Where were they when we checked in? They certainly were not in the run down office. It is only open when the manager is there. Not very happy with this campground. Good thing we had plans with family away from the campground.

Awful! Definitely find another place to stay. The online campground photos are of the older part of the park. They have since added a new section by plowing a vacant field and spreading dusty gravel. Dirty, dusty and not level. No tables. Old broken down trailer with no roof was behind our site along with a pile of junked picnic tables. The office is an old nasty mobile home. Don't even think about using the showers or bathroom. Nasty. Disgusting place. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Camp ground is ok. Most of the camp sights are almost level. We had to move to the front row to get a spot where the coach would level out. The owner saved a spot for us up front incase the pull through site didn't work. The owners are doing some upgrades. Level sites would be a huge plus. The location is great for bourbon tours and Bardstown. My only real complaint is somebody shooting off fireworks, our dog does not like them. I would stay here again, as I said the location is great.

This is a beautiful country setting overall with loads of potential for being a Class A Park near historic Bardstown. However this will require lots of work and planning before that will be the case.. Grass is very grownup, and there should be more gravel in important areas. We stayed 7 days - grass was 10" tall and growing. Restrooms are horrible - very primitive and open to varmints, insects, etc. lack of privacy, with tall grass surrounding facility and no walkway.

Although it was just one night we will definitely remember the stay. Owner is very friendly & helpfull, explaining how everything works with a camper (first time). We even received a 'Churchill Downs Mascotte' (little bear) as a gif! I remember the internet worked well, place is nice and quiet, located well near Bardstown. I have to be honest, the facilities could use a small update. When back in USA we will visit the place again for sure. Kind regards, Robin Amsterdam, NLD

We were promised a pull through but the previous occupants didn't leave so we were given a very poor site that was so uneven our windshield cracked when we attempted to level. The campground was in a farm field with services that were very old and poorly maintained. The shower house was crude. This was one of the poorest campgrounds we have experienced. We should have left and stayed at the local WalMart instead. Bardstown was a disappointment too. We have visited there several times over the years... Read More

The businesses have fared poorly since the most recent recession and it shows.

The park is conveniently located to Bardstown, which is one of the prettier towns to stop at if you are on the bourbon trail tour, 4 distilleries in close proximity. The park a smaller one, is tidy, with a wonderful family running the operation who are willing to help you out or let you in on the sites to see nearby. Nice trees around the sites and set back from the road near the lake so it is quiet. Gravel pads, pretty level, 50 AMP hookups.

What's nice about this campground is that it is close to Bardstown where several bourbon distilleries are located. It is a bit touchy getting out onto the highway as there is a blind curve immediately to the left as you leave. Lots of trees (nice in this hot weather), gravel roads and sites, unlevel sites, some close neighbors and some wide spaces, good wifi signal but slow, old picnic benches at sites. Quiet. I did want someone to cut the grass as it is up past my ankles starting at my steps.... Read More

Restroom facility looked hideous from the outside so we didn't go in.

This campground is about 2 ® miles west of the town of Bardstown. It is a simple campground, just sort of a large field with some trees. The driveways and the site pads are gravel. The site we had was far from level. Sites are full hook up with 50 amp electric service. For part of our stay we had a neighbor that was so close our slide outs almost touched. The WIFI service was very good. They also offer a bathhouse with showers and flush toilets that were not very clean. We paid $30 per night.... Read More
