Actually, was better than I thought it would be. Figured that the parking lot of a casino maybe not so great. Pleasantly surprised. Didn't go into casino, but they were having a salmon celebration that weekend. Native American salmon smoke dinner, crafts, music. Very nice. Good wifi and cable after doing the tourist thing all day. Definitely would return. Sites were fine. Had a pull through, but plenty of room for slide, etc.

The Good Sam rating is spot on for this RV park. It is well-maintained and organized. Hook-ups good. Wifi adequate. Our site was a 62 ft pull through, cement, but a little sloped on one end. Some ground cover planted between sites but no privacy screening and pretty close side to side. Plenty of room to maneuver our 42 ft motorcoach and towed car. The bay is more industrial than scenic with interesting boat activity. Not much traffic noise but the trains do demand attention. Coos Bay is... Read More

Coos Bay is an interesting little town - good groceries, farmers market, refurbished art deco movie theater, Oregon Coast music festival.

Free shuttle between RV park and casino was nice. RV park was well-lit, nice dog run, clean, and views of the water. Didn't rate the restrooms because we didn't use them. Be aware that there is a train track near the RV park which is used daily.

Very open and good space between sites. Didn't feel like I was sitting on top of neighbors. We were on a site next to the water. Much quieter than being by the Coast Hiway but when the train went through at 6 this morning, everybody knew it. Not much on site except walking close to rather small casino.

We had a back row site. Thought we would experience road and train noise, but no problem. Sites are quite wide with good separation and level. Bathrooms and laundry facilities are very clean. Hot tub and spacious swimming pool are available in the Casino for customers in the park. A shuttle runs frequently between the park and casino.

Check in was easy and the staff friendly. Showers are clean and free. Laundry room is really nice $1.75 per load. Cable is great and wireless good. The sites are all paved, level with good separation. Great place for doggy. Best thing is you can use the hotel indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. We had an Internet special of $20 per night; score!

We love this place! The people are so friendly and helpful and we enjoy the restaurants and laundry facilities. We love walking and hiking, so Mingus Park is a daily experience, plus we used the High School Tennis Courts every day. We also enjoyed the Guaranty RV Show this year. We always meet wonderful people when we camp here. It was our 4th summer there and will not be our last.
