We stayed here 2 nights. Owner is very nice and very helpful. Spaces are close and just fit our 40ft motor home. We were able to park our jeep across the street which was convenient. There is a large field for the dogs to run which was a plus for us. No cable but we were able to pick up many TV stations with our antenna. One draw back is it is near the highway and there are traffic noise at all times. We were not bothered by this but some may be. Shopping and restaurants are easily accessed... Read More

The people who run this park are very efficient and kind. We were there for one night and needed a 50amp pull-thru. We had a devil of a time navigating to our site due to longterm campers parking their trucks along the gravel we needed to pass thru with our truck and 37ft trailer. Hookups were great. Tons of road noise all night long...at least with our location which was right by the busy local highway.
Convenient Location, Very Helpful Managers and a Great Price! The customer service at this RV Park is outstanding. In all of our many business-related travels around the Country we have encountered all kinds of management styles, and I must say that the husband & wife managers win the "Blue Ribbon" for kindness and helpfulness! Not only was the reservation process by phone easy, but I received a welcoming text with extra info for directions and a phone number if we had any questions. We truly felt... Read More

As it turned out, we had some mechanical problems and arrived much later than expected. When I texted to alert her of our delay, she express concern and gave specific after-hours arrival instructions, including a site # that was easy to find.
The Park itself is very easy to find, as it's right off the Highway east of Abilene, TX. The Lobby is inviting and clean. Although we didn't use the pool or laundry facilities, they too look very nice!

We are a Christian prison ministry. Some of the reviews said the owners were Christians. We chose this park partly because of that. I so wanted to give them a good review. But, I can't. The place is dirty and ill kept. We were only staying one night, passing through. I wish we had stayed at Walmart or a rest area. I can't understand why Good Sam would give them a Good Sam rating The 65' site was barely long enough to fit our 40' rv and toad in. The sites are so close together. The road noise was... Read More

The 65' site was barely long enough to fit our 40' rv and toad in. The sites are so close together.
The road noise was so loud. Usually I don't hear it inside, but it almost rocked the coach when a truck went by, which was every minute.
I can't recommend this place and I won't stay here again.

We stayed here one night on our way to Palo Duro Canyon. Getting into the park was a little tricky making the turn in front of the office, the space was barely long enough for the rig and the tow vehicle. The park was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was raining the morning we left and the roads turned to mush. There are a lot of full timers which tend to bring down the appearance of the park.
Very helpful. Nice clean showers and park. Staff very friendly. Would stay here again for sure. Also provides free Wi-fi.
The hosts are very nice but this park should not be rated as 9. It is not visually appealing. There is no store. No activities. Stay here only if you want rustic feel.
WOW!! I have stayed in some parks that were not so good, but I have never experienced one that was rated this high and shouldn't have been. I had to get my guide out to make sure I was looking at the correct listing. The park is old and doesn't seem to be maintained as it should be. It has the potential to be a fairly nice park if some changes were made. I do understand that not all parks can be 10's, but if that that is the case, then they shouldn't be rated so. My major complaint is that... Read More

My major complaint is that this park in this case, is unbelievably rated above what it should be. We use the ratings to choose a place that looks, and more importantly, sounds appealing to us. The rating system failed us miserably this time and left us with a bad taste for the ratings system used

We were travelling thru and decided this looked good, based on the Good Sam ratings. Not sure how the reviews are done, but this is definitely over-rated. We arrived just before Thanksgiving, and was assigned a "65" foot pull thru. There's no way this was 65 feet, as my 37' trailer filled the space, requiring my truck to be parked parallel to the dirt road. The spots are very close together, my awning was almost touching the rig next to us. The roads are somewhat gravel, however, when it rained,... Read More

We arrived just before Thanksgiving, and was assigned a "65" foot pull thru. There's no way this was 65 feet, as my 37' trailer filled the space, requiring my truck to be parked parallel to the dirt road. The spots are very close together, my awning was almost touching the rig next to us. The roads are somewhat gravel, however, when it rained, the gravel became mud and flooded easily. As is typical of this part of Texas, the dirt is as hard as a rock, except for the very few grass areas. We had 2 dogs, and the available walking areas were limited. There are a few tables, and our site didn't have one. From what I saw, the ones that are here are pretty tired.
Interstate 20 is about 100 feet away, and is extremely noisy, at all hours. A sound break of more trees would help quite a bit. There's propane available about 1/4 mile away at a propane dealer. WalMart and some restraunts are about 5 miles away. RV supplies are available on the north side of I-20 at another campground (big country) which is also a dealer.
Due to weather, we had to extend our stay, and was accommodated. Didn't use wi-Fi or bathrooms. There are a lot of long term folks with pretty tired looking rigs. This could be a descent place if there was some maintenance and clean-up performed, and the sites were actually measured correctly. Next time we're in this area, we'll be looking for a different park

Sunday 3/29/15 we called 2-3 times, left messages with no return call. We specifically asked about swimming pool, and WI-FI. Their phone message indicated they would call us back. No call was received from them. Upon our arrival, office was closed. Pool was locked. General appearance front gate, opposite of website photo, overgrown, unsightly. Upon next morning checkout, sunny attitude of manager turned quickly sour when I asked why no one had returned our call. WI-FI was unavailable because... Read More

AND, we were not given the full Good Sam discount. She only gave us half. Their website makes it sound so friendly. I am a retired businesswoman. Worked in sales and marketing all my professional career. I was never disrespectful with the woman, yet she certainly did not appreciate my concerns. We will never return to this campsite, nor will we recommend it to any of our friends who RV.
