My Wife and I have stayed at the Port for the last 15 years. This year the prices have jumped astronomically. How is a piece of asphalt worth $32.00 a night? The parking for boats is so tight it makes it difficult for even an experienced driver to park their trailer. The round about doesn't help as it forces even the smallest of trailers to drive over the curb. The price of the slips have doubled and I was charged for a 40ft slip when I only have a 24ft boat. Then when I brought up these price... Read More

The sites at this park are quite spacious and many are pull throughs. The pads are paved and the hookups are conveniently located. Restrooms are nice, but restricted to one toilet and shower. The location is good, right across the bridge from the Bayfront area. The marina is a good place to walk around and bike. The Rogue Brewery is nearby and has a restaurant. Another plus, the Newport Loop bus stops at the park and you can ride throughout Newport at no cost (the park gives free passes).... Read More

When hooked up it was simply too slow to use. Also, there is virtually no landscaping. The grass between pads is dead and the only thing green are the weeds. This seems to be an easy fix. Overall, we liked the place and would use it again if in the area.

Nice location next to the marina, Rogue brewery, aquarium with a view of the iconic Yaquina Bay bridge. Its across the bay from old town Newport, but it's an easy drive. Spaces are paved with small areas of poorly maintained landscaping in between. There are lots of nearby areas for dogs to stretch their legs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.
Nice location. Close to everything. Is in the bay so not that close to ocean ( drive 5 minutes ). We asked if Wifi was working because we couldn't get any, and was told " it is what it is"..... never works. Don't list "Wifi" as a "selling point" if you are not fixing this problem.
Located right at the Marina, on windy days it can blow hard here buffeting our 27ft trailer. Friendly check in office, all Tarmac roads and sites, pull thru and back in sites. There are overflow locations some with hookup some are dry camping sites for just 20 bucks a night close by. We did the Rogue Brewery tour which includes the spirit distrillery and enjoyed the 1.5 hour tour and samples. The lunch in the pub/resturant was good and reasonably priced with friendly staff in all locations.... Read More

Nice coastal park for being in the city. No beach access, but great place to stay if going to Newport. Not far from state parks and beach access; but you will have to drive. Awesome view of the Newport Bridge (Yaquina Bay Bridge). Stayed there for the Newport Seafood and Wine festival. Outstanding location for traveling with a group for such an activity. The staff was friendly and the sites are well maintained. However they are close together and tight fit for large rigs. For this style... Read More

The staff was friendly and the sites are well maintained. However they are close together and tight fit for large rigs.
For this style of park, it is great. There is a nearby State Park on the beach... but you will not find sewer hookups or 50 amp power there. Plus you can't fit big rigs at that state park.
So if you want 50 amp and pull through big rig spots, this is your best choice.

Stayed here Oct. 16-18th weekend. Nice park, paved spots, good hookups, nothing fancy and sites are close together. Still good as you are near to lots of things to do, Rogue Brewery, Marina, fishing/ crabbing pier. Staff was warm and friendly, provided information on crabbing and good places to eat. Sites were a little shorter but we still fit and had room for out toad. Would stay here again as it met all our needs.
Note: I rate 3 stars as average/adequate. Was initially disappointed to find main area full and we were assigned to the overflow annex a block away, but that turned out to be a blessing. The main area is nicely paved and configured, but turns out to be crowded and has poor restroom facility access (see other review). The annex had grassy sites and the two combined shower/toilet rooms were a bit primitive but adequate. The best part of the stay was that the Rogue brewery/pub is just across the street... Read More

Recommend? A qualified yes, but over-priced for value.

I am giving the restrooms 3 stars only. This is gorgeous cental location to explore the coast from. It's right next to everything. It was our first time there and when we booked online and read the park description, it clearly stated, "clean restrooms" in plural as though there were more than one measly restroom for all 92 RV Sites! This does not include the overflow dry camping sites which were full when we were there. There are other restrooms in the marina/park area but they are for boaters... Read More

This does not include the overflow dry camping sites which were full when we were there. There are other restrooms in the marina/park area but they are for boaters and you are locked out of them. They either need to add access to the additional showers or be honest about the fact that there is only one shower for the whole park and you will be standing in a line every day.
