Easy on/off I-5, great stopover park! Lots of improvements underway when we were there. Gas station and convenience store next door.

Strictly an overnight layover right off I-5 about 10 miles south of Harris Ranch. The campground is populated by a couple dozen permanents, who keep their area relatively clean, although there were lots of barking dogs kept in outside corrals. The sites are dirt/gravel and are ridiculously close together, neighbors FHU literally 3 feet from our front steps. Wouldn't be horrible as the transient side of the park was half full, but instead of placing people in every other, they cram every new arrival... Read More

Wouldn't be horrible as the transient side of the park was half full, but instead of placing people in every other, they cram every new arrival in adjacent sites. We stayed 2 nights so saw this phenomenon repeat. Pretty aggravating with sewer hose in front yard and no place to sit out due to neighbors with empty sites visible all around. There is a pool and dog run. WiFi exists but too slow to use. Bathhouse was clean and close. Harris Ranch, a steakhouse and gift shop, is the only show in the area. Very good steaks.

Stopped to break up the trip to LA, typical reason to come here. Simple, easy access to long concrete pads, full hookups, discount for cash ($39). Great for California. Site worked just fine for me, didn't have to unhook the tow, stayed the night and off again, no muss no fuss. Internet is satellite, so dismal speed but worked OK. I didn't expect any more and it was OK for my needs. I didn't use/look

This park is located just off Interstate 5 at the exit for Coalinga, CA, more or less halfway between LA and San Francisco. They have pull through sites with full hook ups (50 amp electric). The driveways are asphalt with fairly narrow gravel site pads, however, there is not much effort being put into maintaining the grounds. There are weeds growing mostly everywhere. There is free WiFi but we found it to be either completely unavailable or of no real use. They have two small swimming pools... Read More

We stopped over on the way home and did get a rest and I finally got the internet to connect after an hour working at it. Tried to take a shower at the one restroom and the pressure was much too low and water never did get warm. So had to "spit" bath it. Wife had the same problem & others complained about the same thing. It has a very large but old restroom and shower stalls that I wish I could have used. The place is really old and dilapidated. The manager is a very nice older guy who tries, but... Read More

The manager is a very nice older guy who tries, but apparently isn't able to keep the place up as he should. The grounds were level and made easy to park.
