We love this place! As with any rv park there are pros and cons. Pros: -Located right ON THE BEACH!!!! -great boardwalk to the beach -they have a great breakfast (dont know how often breakfast is available, but it was when we were there.) -We are right on the beach - what more can I say? -2 pools -Will post a security person on busy weekends at the entrance. Cons: -Wifi is horrendous. You can go to the rec center for better service. Hubby and I usually have to do an hour or so of work due... Read More

Cons:
-Wifi is horrendous. You can go to the rec center for better service. Hubby and I usually have to do an hour or so of work due to type of businesses, so this is painful.
-Cellular service is bad in all of port a (too many people on the island, not rv resorts fault. I did purchase a jet pack through Verizon just so I could have internet at the rv in port a)
-We have stayed here all different months during the summer, fall and winter. During the summer and various holidays this place is full and is VERY NOISY AND VERY CROWDED. (everyone want to be right on the beach, hard to fault them for this.)
-I will not allow my children to ride bikes alone, due to amount of traffic during busy months - It's just not safe. (except maybe at like 7 am when all the partiers are sleeping it off, lol.)
All these cons are things I can put up with to be in such a nice place right on the beach. (port aransas tries to play market itself as family friendly, but it definitely has a party/drinking on the beach atmosphere to it as well.)

Stayed over the 4th of July. Way to many golf carts running around with underage drivers. Accident waiting to happen. Crowded , but that's to be expected in most rv parks. Needs more than 2 showers for that size park.
Great place and location. Hot tub and Rec rooms close at 11pm...And spring break still had a lot of snow birds on site so it was quiet. Not the crazy pioneer I had heard about, but had a great time. See y'all in July.
Excellent location near the town of Port Aransas, on the beach with a boardwalk to the beach. Concrete driveways and concrete pads, patio and picnic table, full hookups, pools and hot tubs, rec center, etc. Wi-Fi was too slow to be of any use about half of the time. From the rec center we got much better service. Staff was cordial but not overly friendly. The park is clean and seems to be well maintained.
We had a wonderful stay at Pioneer RV Resort. The spot was nice with good grass, the table while small was sufficient, we had no problem with party goers and the pool and hot tub was very relaxing. Easy walk to the beach and showers to wash the sand off as you exit the boardwalk.
Not Family Friendly- Adult Only Party Scene- park rules not enforced - Pets off leashes- No quiet hours- Loud music and people till all hours of the night- water hook up had a broken handle and picnic table was falling apart
We are sorry for the problems you had. We are addressing them and will be working to take care of everything. Would like to hear more from you so please email us so we can discuss further. We hope you will come back and give us another try.
