This is a very disappointing RV park. The spaces are so small you can barely back into them and we only have a 26' TT. and we could not even use our entire lot because of a box that was planted next to the patio when rear tires should have been. We could only not use our bottom step because the box was under the step. The only place I have ever been asked for proof of insurance on our RV and Certificate of insurance on our RV. OK, I can deal with that. You have to pay a $50 CASH deposit which... Read More

We could only not use our bottom step because the box was under the step. The only place I have ever been asked for proof of insurance on our RV and Certificate of insurance on our RV. OK, I can deal with that. You have to pay a $50 CASH deposit which we were told would be given back to us upon return of the gate pass. OK, I can deal with that. The bad review is for the unprofessional behavior by the woman on duty when we checked out who told us in front of other people trying to check in that they changed their policy and I would need to mail them they pass key and upon receipt by them they would mail me a check. I questioned when the policy changed because we were only there 2 nights. She said, well I don't have any cash. I would have been fine with returning the deposit on my credit card but she couldn't or wouldn't do that.
Please make sure you read the other reviews on this campground. We spoke to a gentleman who checked in before us who said he had to go ask the neighbor to move their vehicle off his lot so he could park his trailer. When we checked out we had to ask the neighbor to move his vehicle because the lots are so narrow that you can pull out without hitting his truck. He graciously moved for us but complained about the size of the lots. The other neighbor we asked first to move her vehicle had a dead battery so she couldn't move her vehicle. This was clearly the worst managed park we have ever been. It was worse than the "meth lab" park we stayed at North of Mobile, AL.

Sites are small and narrow and no pull thru's. We could not extend awning as it would hit neighbor's RV. Truck was parked sideway's in front of our camper and a tight fit for road traffic even with our mirrors turned in. Entry road has low hanging trees that show age old notches from being hit by camper rooftops. Park is convenient to I-95 and I-595 and shopping. Unfortunately, road noise is always present and railroad tracks are within sight and heavily used. Also, International airport is within... Read More

Entry road has low hanging trees that show age old notches from being hit by camper rooftops. Park is convenient to I-95 and I-595 and shopping. Unfortunately, road noise is always present and railroad tracks are within sight and heavily used. Also, International airport is within five miles and airplane noise is common starting about 6:00AM. Wifi is available but you need to take your laptop and sit under the antenna to get it to work. Drainage after a rainfall is poor as standing water kept some sites wet and muddy for a few days. Marina has activity from boat owners and repair personnel with no obvious parking area. People would regularly park in campsites and/or walk through campsites for access to boats. Walking the boat dock along the river is scenic, but several old and uneven boards made walking a chore. Restrooms are dated but adequate and office staff was friendly. We stayed in a 5th wheel for a full month and might stay again just passing through.

Beware the hidden fees that they put on you. They give you no warning. They also have been renovating the Bathrooms for over 6months and the Laundry matt is sad half the machines are broke. Owners of this park are awful letting this stuff go on for so long. I recommend you stay somewhere else if longer than a few days. The spots are not normal as they are very tight to get in and the patio slabs do not align with normal Motor Homes. Not a good stay the last few months. Horrible.
I've stayed for 3 months in the winter since 2012. It's a great location right on the New River and everything you need is available nearby and 5 minutes from the airport or Port Everglades. They've done alot of work to the park to make it nicer including the recently renovated pool.
My spouse and me spend winters in Yacht Haven every years since 2007. This park is one of the beautiful park of south florida. It is located near everything, airport, stores groceries (Costco) the beach etc... A lot of the sites are on the New River that accomodate big Yatchs and of course the Jungle Queen. New washers and dryers securised with card. The staff is always there to help and the rechall offers a variety of goodies and coffee in the morning. Bingo twice a week, karaoke, partys on special... Exercises class twice a week and the pool freshly renoved. The prices are affordables. It is a nice place for the snowbirds french and american. We had the chance to meet wonderful people from all over U.S.A and Canada.

Yacht Haven is an oasis in the desert. Once inside the security gate, you feel totally removed from the big city. The park is set up to easily accommodate all sizes of camping vehicles. Most sites are back-in, however, several of the on-water sites allow pull in forward to have a water view from your windshield. The staff is always available and friendly and helpful in resolving any issues. The park in the past several seasons has made major road improvements and several other improvements throughout... Several social activities are ongoing and the various personnel involved make a tremendous effort in making everyone welcome. We have spent several winters here and have always been satisfied with our stays at Yacht Haven.

We have traveled most of the state of Florida before finding this unique RV Park/Marina. It's located on the intercostal waters of the New River of Ft. Lauderdale. We have spent 3 winters there and have enjoyed watching boats/yachts of all sizes coming & going on the river. YH's attention to detail starts at the front with the security gates. So we felt secure & safe. We often walked the 8' wide piers that intertwine throughout the facility. The neighbors were friendly to us and as well as our pets.... Read More

Their heated pool/patio is centrally located, easy to get to and very nice. The roadways were recently repaved. There were new washers/dryers. Boat slips are available. The management and maintenance personnel are friendly and accommodating. This location has easy access to major highways. The beaches, groceries, restaurants, and casinos are convenient being just minutes away. Great Place!

I absolutely LOVE Yacht Haven. I have been coming here since 1994 and stay for six months sometimes longer in the winter. Beautiful location, friendly atmosphere I have never had a problem there. Look forward to going many many more years to come! All the employees there are great. Our "go to" girl who goes over and above to make sure all her customers are happy and satisfied. I highly recommend Yacht Haven.
My wife and I have been going to Yacht Haven since 2001. We started staying 1 month and now are fortunate enough to stay for 5 months. We enjoy Yacht Haven for many reasons. It's location is also close to Port Everglades for cruisers and close to the airport. I own a boat and dock it in the marina, for a fee, of course. That makes it convenient for me to fish and pleasure ride. There are some negatives but you get them wherever you go. The staff is always willing to help you work out any issues.
