Owner is so accommodating and eager to assist. We stayed here first in September and came back the next month. It's absolutely beautiful, well dispersed, quiet, many mature trees, and right on the river with views of the bluffs on the other side. Very close to Peoria for many choices of delicious restaurants, activities for kids, art, and shopping! This is not a resort, but a great place to enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings.
We found this campground late in the day on a recent trip. The owner met us at the entrance and took us to our site. He loaned us a converter plug so we could use the 50 amp hookup (we have 30 amp). The campground was very quiet, right on the river. Owner very helpful, also gave good directions to get there. Recommend them.
Don't expect a lush resort with pool and golf course, but it is a rustic camp ground where you can truly camp. Extremely quiet, trees abound, next to Illinois River. Full hookups, 50 amp (50 amp only so bring step-down adapter if you need 30 amp) throughout park. Excellent place to come to relax, read, and listen to the birds chirping in the trees. No traffic noise, no noise whatever. Close to town. Would I come here again, you bet! And yes, there is a bath house/restroom; a new one. Very... Read More

Called for directions and vacancies, had openings and got directions, arrived to check-in and was told there was not restroom or shower facility. It had burnt down a while ago. Should have told us over the phone before we drove 25min to get there and left when told no facilities.
