Stayed here for 3 days over the New Years break and the kids loved it. We had a spot up in the main area on the first night but it was really unlevel so we moved to the back which looks brand new and very level. Even know it was winter time they setup a ice rink and snow slope that the kids enjoyed. This looks like a great place to come in the summer when they setup the water park and open the ice cream stands. The restrooms and showers were your no frills type with cement floors but hey your... The owners seem to care about taking care of the park.

We had a great family stay. The swimming lake was still closed but the playgrounds and other areas were open. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the new section. It was nice and quiet even though the spaces were close. Shoot for the outside row for a little extra space. Not lots of shade in that area but the main area was well shaded. The bath house was clean but there was only 1 and it was a bit of a walk from where we stayed. But the golf cart rental was a great addition! Nice... Read More

It's clear they are building up the location with more things to do and we look forward to going back.

We've camped here 3 times. The last time was Labor Day weekend, 2019. Every time we would plug in our camper the breaker up the road would trip within a few minutes and our electric would go out. We told staff about it on Saturday morning. They said that the electrician would be there to fix it. Needless to say the electrician never showed and we had no electric at the site for the entire weekend. We told staff about it on Saturday morning. They said that the electrician would be there to fix it. Needless to say the electrician never showed and we had no electric at the site for the entire weekend. Luckily, we were able to run an extension cord to the site next door and keep our refrigerator running (unfortunately it was a hot weekend and the extension cord was not sufficient to continuously run the air conditioning without the cord getting hot). I informed them on Monday morning when we checked out that we had no electric all weekend at our site. They said they were sorry - not "we charged you $65/night for a camp site that had no electric all weekend and we're going to at least credit some of your stay." I understand that things happen and am not complaining about the fact that the electric didn't work. It was a busy weekend at the campground and I understand that. The issue is that I had no electric at my site all weekend and wasn't even offered a partial refund when I reminded the staff of that at checkout. I've waited a few weeks since my stay to write this review to give them an opportunity to fix the issue. Needless to say, I'll find another campground next time I go to Laurel Lake.

First, let me say that this campground has NO rules listied. Upon arrival we were given a site next to partyers, and I mean drinking, loud talking, blowing an air horn after 10PM, all until 12:30AM. With lots of sites unoccupied we were not happy with our site. My thinking is that it's the owners responsibility to control such behavior so camping for all residents is fun and quiet. The site was not level, and when we took off the waste line cap we noted 3 leeches in pipe. After hooking up our waste... Read More

Discreeetly told the owner about the issue and he said he would place bleach down line to clear issue. Problem is he never came, not that afternoon not the next morning. I am thinking that if our line had bugs that many more must be infested. This is a health issue that should have been addressed asap. We were so unhappy with noise and leech issue that we hooked up and left first day, when we had reservation for 2 nights. Please note that when I unhooked waste line to leave, the leeches were still present in pipe. Never had such a bad stay.

I am going to start off by saying, if you are here for technology, forget it. WiFi is bad. Cell phone connection is non existent. Which for my husband and I just does not matter.I didn't go there to play on the internet or talk on the phone. We went there to escape city life and RELAX. That's what we did. The campsite was perfect. Close to fishing marina and that was what we needed.I could not comment on restrooms because we did not use them. .The staff is awesome.I love the mom n pop feel. So homey and welcoming. I enjoyed the owners immensely. So kind. They make you feel like family. Not "customers". I must say that the people who were staying there by and large were great. I must say however, if your dog's cannot behave don't bring them into a campground so they will bark at 2:00 a.m. This however is not the owners fault. They cannot co from actions of others. The pond there is awesome! We will definitely go back. No question. Love the silence and slower pace of life. That is what we look for. Hope to see u all soon!

Best hybrid of north woods camping combined with complete hookups. Bathrooms and showers are very roomy which is not the norm elsewhere. Personnel very helpful. The campground map could be more complete (I had to hunt for the garbage disposal). Also, toilet paper in women's bathroom was not replenished and one stall was completely out. Still, we highly recommend this camping resort. Beautiful location and sites. Wooded and roomy. Loved it. Only noisy thing around was the crickets.

We chose Laurel Lakes based on the Good Sam ratings and they were justified. Just a one night stopover. Space was level gravel and had a chance to chat with the new owner this morning. Very friendly and the whole campground is very clean. About 10 miles off I-75, but nice enough to stay again if we were traveling this way.

This campground is a wide-open, forested, quiet place with a fishing pond, hiking trails, and friendly, helpful hosts in the beautiful mountains of Kentucky. We stayed an extra day just to let nature refresh our spirits!

Our very first trip with our new trailer. Campground hostess was very friendly and helpful. We'll be back! Beautiful setting, clean quiet. Great family campground.

This is a beautiful, small, quiet campground located near the Daniel Boone Forest. It is immaculately clean with large gravel sites. It has pull through and back in sites with full hookups. There is room for big rigs with easy access. It has beautiful cabins also. It is gated so security is not an issue. The owners are extremely friendly and can't do enough to make your stay great. We wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed there in a 42 foot motorhome.
