The folks at Owl Creek were super nice on the phone and gave clear directions. They allowed us to check in late with no hassles at all. We stayed in spot 12, which was a back-in slot, but was a wide level concrete pad, easy to get in to. The spot was very clean and easy to use with good space in between campers. Hookups were all good quality and very clean. The campground is easy to get to, but not loud even though it is very close to the interstate. We didn't get to visit the country store,... Read More

Easy off and on I-70, great place to stay overnight
This campground was found down a skinny, winding road but it was worth it. The sites were long and spacious - big enough for our 35' 5th wheel/F-350 crew cab long bed combo so we didn't have to unhook. There was plenty of space to retract the sliders without being anywhere near the neighbors. The dog run was not huge but it was a good size for our 60 lb Australian Shepherd dog. Even though it faces the highway, you can't hear any of the traffic from the campsites. The hookups are conveniently... Read More

The campground was peaceful and quiet - just what we needed after a long day of driving. We didn't get to the store (it was closed when we got there) but the bathrooms were clean. We would stay here again!

We only stayed here for one night on our way out west from Florida. After a couple of hours we wished we would have stayed longer. This campground is tucked behind a country store, which was absolutely amazing. We actually made 3 trips to the store to get more of the amazing cheeses and venison and elk summer sausage. I met one of the owners and she was very gracious and a pleasure to talk to. Our site was long and on a concrete pad and very level and shaded. The restrooms and laundry were clean.... Read More

Highly recommend this campground.

Stopped here one night on our way home from Utah. Park is not large but was neat and clean. Several pull-through spots for big rigs. Our back-in was easy to accommodate. Limited restrooms were adequate and clean.
This campground is tucked behind a country store. They have a fenced area for dogs which was appreciated. The restrooms and laundry were clean. WiFi was good. Attached to the laundry/restroom area is another room with a pool table that we didn't use, but several families were utilizing. The store is a "must" as they have great cheeses and also bagged candies. I spent more in the store than our camping space cost...and it was worth every penny!
Interesting RV park east of Kansas City Mo. Good access to park eastbound but when you try and get back on the interstate you have to use the frontage road for awhile to get back on. This is not a problem but unexpected. The park has updated their wifi and it is great. Most sites are long term but we had a nice long concrete pull through but we paid for it. Nice quiet park with super store that has tons of things to buy including cheese and food products. We didn't use the bathrooms. Nice person... Read More

Thank you for choosing Country Gardens RV Park during your in the Kansas City area! We are a small park, with 45 full hook-up sites. Even though we have several guests staying more than one night, we only have 8 sites in the rear of the park, designated for extended stay. The "modern day RVer" comes in many shapes, sizes, and personalities, so we hope everyone feels welcome with us in Odessa. You are correct about the eastbound ramp to I-70 the access ramp requires a one mile drive through our... Read More

This was an overnight stop for us. We liked the easy access off the freeway, and it didn't have that much road noise given the proximity to the freeway. We liked the very long pull through spot that allowed us to keep our vehicle attached to our tow dolly. We liked that the sewage hookup was ground level.....it does run downhill as we all know. The check/in was friendly and fast, and the cheese store was as nice as the previous reviews said... plenty of samples and huge variety. The facility itself... Read More

The facility itself is a little ragged, but fine for an overnight. There was only one pool cue at the game table, but it was nice to have the pool table! The laundry/shower/game facility did not have a lock...I think the standard is to have a lock these days. There wasn't a planned place to walk around to stretch your legs, so we just wandered around while trying to stay out of other peoples space. Huge dog run, but we don't have pets. WiFi worked well for email but we couldn't stream on Netflix....may have been operator error. Good value for an overnight.

Thank you for staying with us at Country Gardens RV Park in Odessa! We have never considered locking the facility since each unisex restroom has its own lock. We will keep your suggestion in mind when we renovate the restroom/laundry/meeting room facility. Happy Camping!
This place was perfectly fine!! The New owners have worked really hard to upgrade their facility. The country store there is full of delightful Amish products, and fresh meats and cheeses. We would stay again.
Thank you for taking time to share your experience on the Good Sam Club website. Some days are easier to maintain the facilities than others, but we continue to look for ways to upgrade the amenities to reflect the peaceful attributes of nature on the property.
We only spent one night but was greeted with a friendly smile and bubbly attitude, I did look around the store and just wow... The site was a nice pull through but should have taken the back in with shade my bad... There was lots of room even I could have backed in there without much bloodshed between me and the boss lady (my wife). We didnt use any of the facilities but looking at the park im sure they were clean. Overall I would stay there again if our travels take us that way
Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you again when you travel through the Kansas City area!
Clean and private restrooms and showers, but dated. Great gameroom and BEST cheese store in the US!! Unbelievable varieties and close to restaurants, esp. bbq. Our site was large with concrete pad and pull thru. Nice clean area for dog walking and grounds well maintained. Staff was courteous and professional.
Great owners. Some sites are spacious. Ours was long and very narrow. No room to sit outside. Nice store up front with lots of goodies. Utilities are fine, except usual poor wifi. No cable.
Thank you for choosing Country Gardens RV Park during your travels through Kansas City. Our Good Sam inspectors have verified our concrete site widths as 28', which we were told was standard. We will certainly keep your desire for more green space in mind as we plan future sites in our Park. Thank you for providing this valuable feedback!
Nice facility. Small park with reasonably sized spaces. Ask for a paved one if you are worried about leveling. Price is not that much more for paved. Some shaded spots available for longer stays. Wonderfully clean bathroom with showers. Some long term guests here but most are overnighters. Yes, the do have a neat store but they carry little in the campground needed products like milk and eggs. They do sell expensive ice for coolers.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are aware you have several choices of RV parks when visiting the Kansas City area, and we appreciate your choice to stay with us at Country Gardens in Odessa!
We are passing through Missouri and needed a place to spend the night so we choose this place based on a recent reviews and we were sure pleasantly surprised at what a very nice place it was. As a matter of fact we enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay a second night and rest up. The site was a padded level site and hookups we so easy to access. There was a lot of bad weather passing through the area and the staff was nice enough to come to our site to let us know where the closest shelter... Read More

The topper to this place is that they also have an amazing store with over a hundred varieties of local cheese which was absolutely amazing as well as candies, spices etc. we will definitely stay here again on our way back through the area!
