This is probably the worst campground I have ever stayed at. Campground is next to an interstate and no matter where you are located all you hear is cars and semi trucks going by. In addition they don't tell you when you make a reservation that they are also next to a shooting range so you are hearing gunshots all day long. There appears to be no rules, or at least any that the campground follows through on, with regard to dogs, as the site next to ours had 4 dogs who barked constantly. Hook ups... Read More

Hook ups for water, etc. are old and rusty. Owners apparently do no type of mosquito control or anything to keep down the insects.
I am very surprised that this campground was rated as high as it was. It definitely does not warrant anything more than a one or two stars unless it is being compared to a roadside rest area in which case I would give it a two stars review across the board.

We made our reservation Sep 13, 2017 online for Thanksgiving 2017. The online reservation program and Pinch Ponds own website made no mention of water being turned off for winter. We thought we would have full hook-ups as stated on the reservation confirmation. Even when we arrived, the staff didn't mention that the water had been turned off. We didn't know there was no water until after the RV was leveled, slides were out and I went to hook up the water. I completely understand the need to turn... Read More

We didn't know there was no water until after the RV was leveled, slides were out and I went to hook up the water. I completely understand the need to turn off the water and winterize certain areas of campgrounds - that is certainly not the issue. The issue is that we were not notified ahead of time. The staff was able to run a hose to our site so that we could fill our tank. We made the best of it and didn't let it ruin our Thanksgiving.
As far as the Campground goes, it has a mixture of seasonal and nonseasonal. Some of the seasonal sites are rundown and messy. Our site was sloped to driver's side and we had to put the wheels on blocks to get the auto level to work properly. Trash dumpster was overflowing. Office/store building was nice, but other buildings were run down and in need of repair.
Most likely will not return due to inadequate communication from the staff, noise from I-76 and an adjoining shooting range (even Thanksgiving day, range was active). We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were placed by busy highway with lots of road noise. There is a shooting range next to the campground so there is constant noise especially on weekends and nightly.
This is a nice family campground. The layout can be confusing due to the number of roads and the fact that there are 3-4 camping areas. There are many long-term campers and many campsites under construction. The upper pull-thru sites are very nice and reasonably level. The 'woods' sites are a bit tricky to access. The restroom near the office could use some updating. The showers are separate free-standing units separated by curtains only. The new restroom and shower area nearest the road... Read More

There are a lot of activities available for every age group. The roads could use some attention due to washed-out areas. There is plenty of shade for most campsites. It is relatively close to all the area attractions. It is close to the Pennsylvania Pike but there is little highway noise. Would return if we were in the area again.

Stayed for a week - June 17 - 24. Check-in process was nice and easy. Staff escort you to your site. Site was level, setup was nice and easy. Staff seemed friendly, but kept to themselves. Pool was nice, game room was a bit dated, but my kids still enjoyed it. Bathhouses were clean. Overall the campground was great. Nothing to complain about - would return again if we were to visit the area again.
We had a great experience camping here. I really loved the security system/ employees they had in place. Upon arrival we were escorted to our campsite by a security member, which was great because it was our first time there. The employees were very helpful and friendly. They have a pond where you can do some fishing, a pool, a game room, and weekend activities for the family. This is a great family/ kid friendly camp ground.
All in all a nice campground, the office and facilities were a little dated, but neat and clean. The store adequately stocked and had firewood and propane for sale in addition to store items. We found that the office was not open much, generally 9am to 3pm. There were accommodations made for late check ins. The campground was located adjacent to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, so we heard traffic noise all night. The staff most of whom lived on the property were pleasant and helpful. The site... Read More

The campground was located adjacent to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, so we heard traffic noise all night. The staff most of whom lived on the property were pleasant and helpful. The site a pull through on an angle was adequate for our needs. There was playground equipment scattered throughout the upper part of the facility. There was a large pool that was not open yet, (too early in the season). There was a game room and organized events planned for weekends.
Things that could be improved. The staff was over-the-top apologetic if they had to make you wait while they served another customer. When not on duty they complained about "being yelled at for things beyond their control", "stupid guests" (someone forgot to leave a cabin key when they checked out) and general B-t-hing about how the owners run the place. All that is okay, but a guest shouldn't be overhearing this. Our site was a pull through on an angle and we were asked to park in front of our camper. This put my brand new truck 3 Ft from our neighbors fire ring and picnic table. (a little too close for my comfort)
I booked the site on-line and there were no questions about site size or preference, no questions about electrical needs (30 or 50 amp) but otherwise it was east to book on-line.
We had a pleasant stay and if in the area would stay here again. Now we are off to travel the country.

Staff extremely kind, courteous and friendly. Facilities were well kept and had a vast array of activities. It was easy to find and easy check-in and out. A very pleasant experience and will stay there again.
Our 1st real RV campground stay. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Restrooms were clean, but had a bad smell. Convenient to the Winery & events.
This was the guys camping trip, my son, son-in-law and 3 grandsons. Access is easy entering the park and the sites. We had a pull-thru site which was level side to side. The site was sufficiently wide to accommodate alot of chairs along with the picnic table. You couldn't ask for a friendlier and pleasant staff. The office/store has the basics and hand dipped ice cream. The restrooms were a little dated but spotless and thoroughly functional. There is a good size fishing pond that we had... Read More

There is a good size fishing pond that we had a good time at. The swimming pool is big enough to accommodate quite a few people. It could use a few more umbrellas.
It is well located for site seeing and other attractions in the area. If possible, take the tour at the Wolf Sanctuary about 8 miles away. Public tours are on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00 AM.
I will be back with my wife.
