We stayed here for a week while we were packing up our house to move out of the area. Beautiful and quiet for being in the middle of suburbia. The space we were assigned (F12) was next to the sewer wet well, so it stunk quite a bit. Luckily it was on the driver side of our rig so I only smelled it when I had to go over there. The space was sparsely graveled and the week we were there we caught several inches of rain from the remnants of a hurricane. Our rig and stuff were a soggy muddy mess when... Read More

The wifi is nearly unusable. Overall a very nice place. Had we been in a different space away from the sewer and with gravel, we would have enjoyed it immensely. Perhaps we could have moved if we had requested it, but we were extremely busy. I didn't want to tear down and setup again, so we dealt with it.

Clean and well maintained campground. Bathrooms were clean, bright, heated and well equipped. Each row of sites was separated by a row of mature trees that provided a sense of privacy. I can't say enough about the staff. We were originally only staying 2 nights, but our toad broke down and we couldn't leave for a week. Everyone was very understanding and helpful. This is now on our favorite list.
If you just need a place to park your rig while visiting the area parks and, of course, Washington DC, then this a good option. Close to I95, shopping and food. Not a lot for kids: NO cable TV, a small playground and a pool which was closed when I was there (late Oct). The pull through just barely fit my 26' trailer but had room (again barely) for my truck. The picnic table just about filled the rest of the space. Yeah, the sites are that small and you're within arm's reach of your neighbor. To... Read More

Also, the showers/bathrooms were well maintained. Warning....you have to run the hot water awhile before you get it.
The biggest disappointment was the total LACK OF WIFI despite advertising it's availability. I could never connect and my site was directly next to the antenna! When I asked I was told it had been out for a long while and management refused to have it fixed. So....false advertising? I work while traveling so for this reason alone I won't be coming back here!

What an awesome Campground. Love all of the trees and it is quiet and private. Very fair price contrasted to others on this journey. Would love to stay for three or four days, but I have to be in my way.
We enjoyed our short 2-day stay at this campground! LOVED that Target was just down the road to buy groceries! The staff was very friendly, they offer recycling bins as an alternative to trash, and the kids loved the pool and giant sized chess game. We drove a short distance and toured the Bull Run battlefield while we were there - what a great way to spend a day!
Such a nice place and the staff is wonderful. Great area, plenty of space and beautiful. The only thing keeping it from five stars is the free WIFI is really slow??
The best I can say about this park is that it is close to Washington DC. The pull-through sites are barely 35' and they claim to have a row of longer sites in the back. Our 32' barely fit and anything longer forced people driving by to drive on the narrow strip of grass alongside a ditch. We were directly across from the rest rooms, laundry, and playground. That meant that everyone who lived further back walked through our site. I would not stay here again.
This is a very nice, reasonably priced park. Helpful, efficient staff. Very quiet and private, yet minutes away from the greater DC area. We liked the fact that each row of RV camp sites was separated by a row of mature trees, and grassy areas separate the individual campsites.
