Very nice campground. Employees are amazing and very helpful, especially Stevie she was able to work us in on short notice. Very peaceful and quiet. Both sites we have stayed at have been level and spacious! Pool is clean and the lake beach is well kept. Some shady sites as well as Full sun sites. Highly recommend camping here!!
We stayed Friday- Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. We have a 30ft travel trailer and stayed in a back-in site with water and electric only. The trailer site was somewhat difficult to get into but the owners came out and helped us back in. They also loaned us a 30amp extension cord because the power supply was on the opposite side and our cord wouldn't reach. The trailer site very level but, dropped off right beyond the gravel site. It also had a picnic table. We were very close to the playground... Read More

It also had a picnic table. We were very close to the playground which was wonderful for our 5 year old. The roads within the grounds are all gravel and "hilly" so it was difficult for our little one to ride his bike. The pool is small but, nice with a shallow end and a few lounge chairs and tables. The lake has a designated swim area that has a sandy beach and covered picnic tables. They have a tall, metal slide for kids to slide into the lake but, it was very wobbly and quite tall. They have a game room with a few pool tables and arcade games and nice laundry facilities. Overall, this was a great weekend and, we will be back!
Pros:
Very friendly, welcoming staff that go above and beyond for their patrons.
Beautifully manicured campground with sitting spots, swings, and shaded picnic tables.
Small, so it was not overcrowded during Memorial Day weekend.
Hiking trails, paddle boats, and canoes available for patrons
Daily family events including corn hole, hay rides, bingo, ice cream socials, and dance parties.
Everything in the store is very reasonably priced.
Limited "permanent" sites so, it leaves plenty of spots for traveling patrons.
Cons:
Bathrooms are very outdated and only have 3 toilets and 2 shower stalls and no A/C.
No hose hookup at the dump station to flush your tanks.

Had a fantastic stay at Paradise Lakes! Everyone was very nice and it is clear that the ownership and staff are working hard to make it even better. The Bath houses are very clean and spacious. They have started putting out new gravel and it definitely makes everything sparkle!
Stayed here in 40 ft motor coach 5 days. Nice sites that accomodate large rigs very well graveled. We stayed in a very nice pull through site. Park is well maintained. Park was beautiful as all flowers and trees were I spring bloom. Looks like the trees have recently been trimmed back .Staff really go out their way to help. Restrooms were clean. Very convenient location to Liberty University as we were visiting grand children. We will be staying here again!
First time visit here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and bath houses, clean pool, nice deck overlooking lake, fun game room (kids loved it!). Lake looked a bit too murky to swim but we had fun fishing. Kids loved riding their bikes under the pavilion which was empty at the time. Our site was kind of small but adequate, and it had a concrete pad and shade. Apple trees throughout and we were allowed to pick and eat. Overall, we were looking for a relaxing, quiet time... Restrooms and bathhouses were run down and not very clean at all. Toilet stalls were out of tissue paper. We had an empty campsite to our left but a fifth wheel in the next space over. Large party with well over 10 vehicles parked all over. Looked like a little league ball team and the kids ran screaming around the campground until well after 12 midnight. We even had kids running around our camper and under our awning screaming. They finally got quiet and it all started over at 6am the next... Read More

We even had kids running around our camper and under our awning screaming. They finally got quiet and it all started over at 6am the next morning until they left just before lunch. Nothing was ever done by campground staff in relation to abiding by the quiet hours or maximum number of vehicles allowed posted as a policy. Its nothing that needed to be reported because you could hear them yelling across the entire park. We were told at check in that there were dumpsters provided for our trash. But then the lady at the office informed me that they were full!!! We had reservations and paid for 2 nights but only stayed one. Left one day early for home. We will not return here and will not recommend to anyone.
On the other hand the site we had was nicely shaded, graveled and a nice size.

We were a bit concerned about staying at Paradise Lake due to the reviews and word of mouth. However it seems the campground was purchased in 2016. The new owners have done a lot to upgrade the place. Sites were roomy and level with 30 and 50 amp service. I had no problem getting around with my 43 foot MH. The bath houses had all been redone and were good. Nice pool and the kids loved the lake. It was very quiet and peaceful and the staff were very nice. I would stay there again.
Booked a site that would allow me to have direct TV access. However when I got there and went to the site it was not satellite accessible. The site next to me was empty and had satellite capability. When I called the office they said I couldn't move because they were all sold out. Pull through still required me to unhook my car at the office because I had to turn around which I couldn't do since I was towing a car. Not worth the price. I have had better RV Parks for $32/night.
Convenient location between Lynchburg and Appomatox, but this is an older RV park and shows a lot of signs of wear and tear. Road is bumpy and it is definitely off the beaten track. You can hear trains at night, which we like. Water pressure was very low, no cable or antennae TV available. WiFi hotspot at the office. Laundry room was very small, always in use when we tried. Mostly construction workers here, for long term stays. I also had disappointing experience and did not receive Good Sam... Read More

I told them we were Good Sam when I made the reservation and manager did tell me to show my membership card when I arrived. I forgot, they did not ask me about it, and result was no discount. She did tell me that I had to show my card at check-in so it is my own fault, but it is the first time I have not been asked at check in. Not the end of the world, just disappointing.

Stayed during a cold snap, so not outside much. Looks like a nice place to camp in the summer. Quiet.
